New Kent County Public Schools initiated Google Apps for Education during the 2013 - 2014 school year. Students in grades 5-12 were given an account and used the accounts for various school projects. A
student letter went home last fall with details about the program. A
parent letter was also sent home at the same time.
Rising 5th graders will be given an account when they return in the fall and their teachers will get them logged in for the first time.
Once a password is created, it will remain with the student for their entire time in NKCPS. The accounts will roll over from year to year and will not be reset unless a password is forgotten. Students, if you have forgotten your password, refer to the
password reset form located under the "Students" heading located in the top website navigation. Please understand that this is a manual process and may take a couple of days to be completed.
Students, remember that the school's
acceptable use policy applies to all technology provided by the district, including these Google accounts.
